Alex Kraft is a Professor in the Department of Visual Arts at the University of North Georgia (UNG), where she oversees the ceramics program at the Dahlonega Campus. She earned her M.F.A. from the University of Montana (2006) and holds a B.F.A. and B.S. Ed. in Visual Arts from Northern Arizona University (2001-2002).
Research Interests: Her work explores Ceramics and Three-Dimensional Design through Organic Abstraction of flora, fauna, and landscapes. She integrates techniques like Mono-Printing, Inlay, and Image Transfer to create textured surfaces that bridge functional and sculptural forms.
Exhibitions & Recognition: Kraft exhibits nationally and internationally, including at the Yingge Ceramics Museum (Taipei) and Taoxichuan Ceramics Museum (Jingdezhen, China). She has completed prestigious residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation and Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts. Her accolades include the

Contributions: As UNG's DoVA Assessment Coordinator, Kraft leads curricular revisions for Visual Arts. She has conducted workshops in India and South Korea, and her expertise spans Ceramic Materials, Surface Treatments, and Studio Practice.
