Andy Ingram

Dr Andy Ingram is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham. He is part of the University's Positron Imaging Centre, which developed the Positron Emission Particle Tracking (PEPT) technology for studying flow fundamentals in physics and engineering. His research focuses on polymer processing, PEPT applications, and granular behavior in rotating drums and fluidized beds.

Dr Ingram leads projects such as developing large-volume processors for polymer reaction engineering and studying particle dispersion in rotating systems. He consults for Buss SMS and is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers. His work bridges interdisciplinary collaboration, emphasizing practical engineering solutions.
