Jonathan Seville

Jonathan Seville is a Professor of Formulation Engineering at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham. He currently works part-time at the Positron Imaging Centre, a joint venture between the School of Chemical Engineering and School of Physics and Astronomy. His research focuses on structured product design, leveraging Positron Emission Particle Tracking (PEPT) to analyze complex flow behaviors. He is also a core member of the Birmingham Plastics Network, an interdisciplinary team addressing global plastics sustainability.

Research Interests: Formulation Engineering, Material Science, and Sustainable Plastics. He investigates micro/nano-scale structures in products like pharmaceuticals, foods, and consumer goods, and explores their functionality through process history. His work also includes advancing PEPT technology and interdisciplinary solutions for plastics-related challenges.
