Dr. Andrew Scattergood is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for Physical Education and Sports Coaching at York St John University. He holds a Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and specializes in physical education, leisure studies, and sociological research methods. His career spans teaching in secondary schools, academic leadership roles, and postgraduate supervision. He has led programs in initial teacher education and contributed to curriculum design, including advocating for traditional pub games in school PE curricula.
