Gemma Sharples is a Senior Lecturer in Physical Education and School Sport at Hartpury University, affiliated with the Department of Sport and the Hartpury Sports Coaching Centre. She has been instrumental in designing and developing the BSc (Hons) PE and School Sport programme since 2013.

The recent publications and conference presentations highlight a strong trend toward inclusive, authentic, and community-integrated physical education, focusing on practical application in both school and higher education settings.
