Andrew Kozhevnikov is a Lecturer in Human Resources Management at the Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds, within the Faculty of Social Sciences. He joined in October 2021, following lectureships at Coventry University (2018-2020) and Bradford University (2020-2021). His expertise spans careers, skills, critical realism, and human resource management. He holds a PhD from Newcastle University and qualifications in academic practice and research methods.

Research Interests: Focuses on career dynamics through realist social theory, exploring structure-agency intersections. Studies skilled migrants’ career projects in the UK, careers in global cities, and the role of urban environments. Also examines skills valuation in workplaces and marginalized worker groups (e.g., non-heterosexual, working-class). Utilizes qualitative methods, informed by Margaret Archer’s critical realism.
Teaching: Delivers modules on Strategic HR (LUBS3855) and Organisation Theory (LUBS1760) across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
