Andrew Gold is a Professor of Law at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, with a joint appointment in the Department of Philosophy within the School of Humanities. His expertise spans Private Law Theory, Fiduciary Law, and the Law of Corporations, with recent work exploring law as a complex system. He holds a J.D. from Duke University and a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Dartmouth College. Before joining UCI, he served at Brooklyn Law School, DePaul University, and practiced corporate litigation at Skadden Arps. His scholarship includes acclaimed books like *The Right of Redress* (Oxford 2020) and co-edited volumes such as *The Oxford Handbook of the New Private Law* (2020). He has held prestigious visiting roles at Harvard Law School, the University of Oxford, and McGill University. Awards include the Canadian Fulbright Award and Excellence in Teaching/Scholarship accolades.
His research focuses on fiduciary governance, corporate equity, and private law theory, with a recent emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches.
