Dr. Martin Gold is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business, University of Wollongong. He transitioned to academia in 2003 after a distinguished career in finance, including roles as a fund manager, investment analyst, and co-founder of a derivatives-focused private investment firm. His expertise spans investment theory, fiduciary standards, and innovation in financial services. Gold’s research emphasizes FinTech, corporate governance, and socio-technical systems, with a focus on improving regulatory frameworks and stakeholder outcomes.
Before academia, Gold held senior roles at institutions like ASSIRT Research (now S&P) and Royal SunAlliance, managing over $3bn in assets.
