Andreas Deckert

Dr. Andreas Deckert is a Scientist at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health (HIGH), University of Heidelberg. He holds roles including Principal Investigator (PI) and project manager in multiple international health initiatives. His work focuses on non-communicable diseases (NCDs), epidemiology, public health, and global health systems. He has led projects in Zambia, Malawi, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, and Cambodia, emphasizing capacity building and NCD integration in healthcare systems.

• Research Interests: NCD prevention, health system strengthening, migrant health, and pandemic response strategies.
