Hoa Nguyen

Professor Hoa T. Nguyen (MD, MS, PhD) is a cardiovascular disease epidemiologist at UMass Chan Medical School with over 20 years of experience in public health, clinical research, and global health. She leads studies in Vietnam focusing on hypertension control, cardiovascular diseases, and non-communicable disease (NCD) management. Her work includes NIH-funded research on storytelling interventions, text message programs for smoking cessation in HIV patients, and capacity-building initiatives like the Master in Epidemiology in English at Hanoi Medical University.
