Andrea Stanaland is Professor of Marketing in the Davis College of Business & Economics at Radford University, where she has been a faculty member since 2005. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Houston, MBA and BBA from The University of Texas at Austin, and completed graduate coursework at Rotterdam School of Management. Her academic career includes teaching at the University of Houston and National University of Singapore.

Her research focuses on consumer behavior, advertising, and public policy, with particular emphasis on gender in retailing, health promotion, consumer welfare, online privacy for children, and advertising disclosure in financial products. Her work bridges academic rigor with societal impact, influencing public discourse and policy.
The 28 peer-reviewed articles she has published span journals such as Journal of Retailing, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Consumer Policy, and Health Communication. Her recent work shows a trend toward ethical marketing, digital consumer protection, and health communication, reflecting growing concerns in consumer advocacy and regulatory transparency.

Andrea Stanaland co-coordinated Radford University’s Study Abroad programs to Australia (2007, 2010) and Ireland (2013), demonstrating a strong commitment to global education and experiential learning.
