Andrea R. Doyle is an Instructor II at the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Law (Robson Hall), serving as Coordinator of the Concentration in Access to Justice in French since July 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Robson Hall (2009) and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2010. Fluent in both English and French, she practiced law for 13 years at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP.
Her teaching focuses on Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Family Law, Legal Negotiation, and Remedies. Since 2020, she has been a sessional instructor, teaching the French section of Legal Negotiation and Remedies in 2023. Her French negotiation team placed second in the Canadian National Negotiation Competition.
Andrea's community involvement includes roles as Chair of the Insurance Agents’ and Adjusters’ Licensing Appeal Board, Member of the Manitoba Health Appeal Board, and board positions with l’Association des juristes d’expression française du Manitoba (AJEFM). She has also contributed to the Canadian Bar Association’s French-speaking section and organized the Isaac Pitblado Lectures.
- Awards: Pitblado Scholar, Third highest academic standing in first and third-year law studies.
- Grants/Advising: Coached French negotiation teams, led educational initiatives in legal negotiation.
She advocates for bilingual legal access and participates in moot competitions, reflecting her commitment to justice and legal education.
