Dr. Amy Voorhees is a Professor and Director of Choral Activities in the Department of Music at Susquehanna University, College of Arts and Sciences. She also serves as a resident conducting faculty member in the summer Master of Music in Choral Conducting program at Simpson College.
Her research and professional interests center on choral conducting, music education, and choral methods. She is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in choral music, currently serving as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator for Pennsylvania-ACDA. Her work integrates artistic excellence with pedagogical innovation and leadership in vocal music education.
Dr. Voorhees has led nationally recognized ensembles, with the Susquehanna University Choir achieving finalist status for the American Prize and performing at major conferences. Her career bridges K–12 music education and higher education, reflecting a sustained commitment to choral artistry and teacher development.
