Sandra Babb (she/her/hers) is an Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education at Oregon State University within the School of Visual, Performing and Design Arts. She conducts the treble choir OSU Bella Voce and teaches courses in choral methods, vocal pedagogy, conducting, and curricular foundations in music education.
Her research interests focus on choral music education, with an emphasis on developing choral tone, vocal pedagogy, and advancing the works of women composers and composers of color. She actively contributes to music education curricula and pedagogical practices.
As a clinician and adjudicator, Babb has presented at state, regional, and national conferences of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). Her publications appear in journals such as the International Journal of Research in Choral Singing and Journal of Music Teacher Education, and she has contributed to books like Composing in Choirs and Teaching Music through Performance in Choir.

Babb has held leadership roles in ACDA, including Northwest ACDA Youth and Student Activities Chair and Oregon ACDA Treble Choir Chair. Previously, she served as Florida ACDA Honor Choir Coordinator and National ACDA High School/Collegiate Honor Choir Coordinator. She also worked at Queens College, CUNY, conducting the Queens Youth Choir before her current appointment.
