Amy Mayfield is a Field Service Professor of Early Childhood at the University of Cincinnati since 2002. She holds a B.A. in Foreign Affairs (1987) from the University of Cincinnati and an M.Ed from Xavier University (1992). She has extensive K-8 teaching experience in Cincinnati Public Schools, specializing in science methodology and inquiry-based learning with elementary students. Her work includes teacher training for the Excellence in Science Program.
