Amy Bauschard, M.Ed., is an Instructor in the Education Department at Mercyhurst University and serves as Director of the Mercyhurst Early Learning Innovation Academy (MELIA). She also holds roles as Faculty Counselor for the Mercyhurst University Chapter of Kappa Delta Pi (Education Honor Society) and Co-Director of the NextGen814 Program. Previously, she directed the Carpe Diem Academy and oversaw the Mercyhurst University/Erie’s Public Schools PreK Partnership and Mercy Center of the Arts.
Her expertise focuses on literacy, curriculum development, and fostering community partnerships to support preservice teachers in early childhood settings. She has been recognized as an 'Afterschool Champion' twice by PSAYDN for her dedication to high-quality afterschool programming. Prior to Mercyhurst, she spent over a decade teaching in early childhood classrooms.
Ms. Bauschard holds an M.Ed. and actively engages in leadership roles across multiple educational initiatives, bridging academia and community outreach.
