Amy Gillgrass is a Lecturer (Adjunct) in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University's Faculty of Health Sciences. She leads the Gillgrass Lab, which focuses on immunology and infectious diseases, particularly HIV/TB co-infections and mucosal immunity.

Her recent publications highlight work on humanized mouse models, NK cell immunology, and vaccine development for tuberculosis and HIV. She has also contributed to understanding immune responses in breast cancer and HSV-2 infection.
As an educator, she has instructed courses such as Inquiry III: Advanced Inquiry in Health Sciences and Life Sciences for Clinical Practice since 2017.
