Amy Gadoud is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Palliative Medicine at Lancaster Medical School, Lancaster University. She serves as the NIHR Integrated Clinical Academic Training Lead and holds an Honorary Community Consultant role at Trinity Hospice and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Her research focuses on equitable access to palliative care, using mixed methods and primary care data analysis. She leads the NIHR Research Delivery Network’s national palliative care initiative and collaborates with the International Observatory on End of Life Care.

Dr. Gadoud’s work emphasizes reducing disparities in palliative care access, particularly for non-malignant conditions. She employs large dataset analyses and qualitative studies to address systemic inequities. Key areas include heart failure palliation, care transitions, and leveraging primary care data (e.g., Clinical Practice Research Datalink).
