Dr. Amie Hess is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Chair of the Sociology & Criminology department at Meredith College. Her work focuses on the intersections of gender, sexuality, and education, with notable research on abstinence-only education policies and gender dynamics in digital spaces. She leads community initiatives addressing girls' issues in North Carolina and collaborates with organizations like the United Way of the Greater Triangle.
