Allen Springer is the William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Constitutional and International Law and Government at Bowdoin College's Department of Government and Legal Studies. He specializes in international law, environmental policy, humanitarian law, and U.S. foreign policy. His research focuses on multilevel environmental governance in North America, particularly transboundary disputes and legal frameworks for pollution control. Springer has authored two influential books on international environmental law and is currently developing a case-based approach to international relations studies.
