Alex McAuliff is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate and Graduate Research Fellow at The Fletcher School, Tufts University, expected to complete the program in 2024. Their academic focus centers on Gender and Intersectional Analysis, International Negotiation, and Conflict Resolution. They hold a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) from The Fletcher School and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Studies from Colby College.
Professional experience includes roles such as Dialogue Program Assistant in Belfast, Northern Ireland; Dialogue Facilitator at Seeds of Peace; Chief Legislative Aide to the Maine State Senate President; and Development and Outreach Coordinator at the Maine Center for Economic Policy. Alex actively contributes to Fletcher’s vibrant community through involvement in the International Negotiations and Conflict Resolution Club, the Conference on Gender and International Affairs, Diplomacy Lab, and serving as an INCR Research Assistant and member of the INCR Faculty Search Committee.
Fletcher faculty are noted for their academic and practical expertise, with personal mentorship and engagement emphasized as key to Alex’s doctoral journey. Their interdisciplinary approach bridges theoretical study with real-world policy applications, reflecting Fletcher’s commitment to interdisciplinarity and practitioner-oriented learning.
