Allan H. Smith

Dr. Allan H. Smith is a Professor of Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health since 1983. His research focuses on global health impacts of arsenic in drinking water, with major studies in California, Nevada, Argentina, Chile, West Bengal (India), and Bangladesh. He leads intervention programs to reduce arsenic exposure, including a pilot dugwell initiative in India.
