Dr. Molly Kile is a Professor at Oregon State University's School of Biological and Population Health Sciences, College of Public Health and Human Sciences. An environmental epidemiologist, she investigates health impacts of early-life chemical exposures using biomonitoring and community-engaged methods. She directs the Environmental Exposure and Biomarker Lab and the ASPIRE Children's Environmental Health Center.
Her research examines prenatal arsenic exposure effects on immune function and birth outcomes in Bangladesh cohorts, chemical contamination in Native American traditional foods, and well water safety interventions. Current projects include neurocognitive impacts of flame retardants and air quality studies with Tribal communities.
Publications demonstrate expertise in longitudinal exposure assessment and mixture modeling, with NIH-funded work linking metals exposure to infectious disease susceptibility and developmental outcomes. Research emphasizes translation to risk assessment and culturally appropriate interventions.
Dr. Kile mentors graduate students in environmental health epidemiology and exposure science, with doctoral candidates examining gene-environment interactions and metal mixture effects. She serves on the Oregon Environmental Quality Commission and Water Enhancement Board.
