Dr. Alison Pearce is a Professor of Strategic Entrepreneurship at Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University, with affiliate roles at Grenoble Ecole de Management (France) and Universite Grenoble Alpes. She teaches at institutions in Slovenia, Korea, and Poland. A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, she transitioned from a 15-year career in international marketing and design to academia in 2005. Her leadership roles include heading the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Subject Group and co-convening a Research Interest Group. She specializes in strategic entrepreneurship, international staff/student mobility, and design entrepreneurship.

She co-developed a digital platform for entrepreneurship ecosystems in Sub-Saharan Africa and advised the British Council’s Young Entrepreneurs Accelerator in Kenya. Her participatory research methods emphasize actionable outcomes and 'tempered radical' approaches.
