Dr. Rose Quan is an Associate Professor in International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Strategy at Newcastle Business School, University of Northumbria at Newcastle. She also holds an Affiliate Professor role at universities in China. Prior to academia, she worked in marketing and purchasing roles across industries in China, the US, and the UK, with clients like Ann Summer and Woolworth.
Her research focuses on international business strategies, migrant entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurship education. Key projects include leading the EU-funded Global Entrepreneurial Talent Management project (€1M+), and the British Council-backed IAU Young Entrepreneur Accelerator Programme.
Rose has supervised numerous PhD/DBA students and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Awards include multiple teaching nominations and recognition for her contributions to international partnerships.
Her recent publications explore topics such as digital innovation for well-being, CEO narcissism effects, and entrepreneurship ecosystems in Sub-Saharan Africa. She actively collaborates with institutions globally through projects involving 9 universities across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
