Alison Collis Greene is an Associate Professor of American Religious History at Emory University's Candler School of Theology and an affiliated faculty member in the Department of History at Emory College of Arts and Sciences. She currently serves as Interim Director of the Master of Theological Studies Program. Her research focuses on intersections of religion with politics, wealth/poverty dynamics, race/ethnicity, environmental issues, and the modern rural South.

Her book No Depression in Heaven (2016) examines the impact of New Deal policies on religious practices in the Mississippi Delta. Her work bridges academic research with community engagement through initiatives like YTI and theological education programs.
