Dr Alison Beauchamp is an Associate Professor (Research) in the School of Rural Health at Monash University and holds a Senior Research Fellow position at the University of Melbourne (since 2018). Her clinical background includes expertise in cardiac nursing. She currently leads the NHMRC Emerging Leader Fellowship (2021–present), focusing on health literacy in cardiac secondary prevention. Previously, she held an ARC Industry Fellowship at Deakin University and a NHMRC TRIP Fellowship (2018) for health literacy implementation. She co-designed resources like teachback.org and checkback.org to improve clinical communication.
