Ali Graham

Ali Graham is a Lecturer in Counselling at the School of Communication and Media, Ulster University. She is an accredited counsellor (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and registered social worker (Northern Ireland Social Care Council) with over two decades of experience in therapeutic work, focusing on marginalized communities.

Her research explores mental health through interdisciplinary and social justice lenses, employing transformative, collaborative methodologies to empower vulnerable groups. Recent work includes analyzing Christian privilege and oppression in Northern Ireland using reflexive thematic analysis of focus groups.

She contributes to academic discourse with publications like her 2024 article in the Journal for Social Action in Counseling & Psychology, and brings extensive community/voluntary sector experience, including therapeutic group facilitation for homeless women in Boston and San Francisco.
