Croutzet's research integrates theoretical and applied economics through interdisciplinary lenses. His work in Natural resource economics and Environmental economics examines sustainable policy frameworks, while Energy saving research employs Real options analysis within institutional contexts. The Economics of institutions focus explores organizational design impacts on economic behavior, complemented by Macroeconomics modeling for systemic trend analysis. This synthesis bridges academic theory with practical business and policy applications developed during his industry consultancy phase.
