Alexandra F. Ruiz is an Adjunct Professor in the History Department and Data Science Institute at Saint Peter’s University, and serves as the Outreach Coordinator. She holds a B.A. in History & Sociology from Saint Peter’s University (2018) and an M.A. in History from Seton Hall University (2020). Her research focuses on military and medieval European history, integrating sociological perspectives and demographic analysis to explore historical events. She is known for her engaging teaching style, blending historical analysis with 'weird history' anecdotes and connecting past events to modern contexts.

Her research interests include demographics, statistical analysis in historical studies, and ancient history. She has received notable awards for academic excellence and service, including the Cappelluti Medal and the John F. Wrynn Award. Notably, her documentary “An Evening with Ernest M. Hemingway” earned a UNESCO Cultural Center Award and inspired Miami’s “Ernest M. Hemingway Day” designation.
As an academic advisor and coordinator, she supports students in courses like HS-121 The Western Tradition and DS-598 Applied Industry Experience. Her outreach efforts bridge historical scholarship with contemporary issues, emphasizing cultural heritage and interdisciplinary approaches.
