Dr. Brian L. Royster is an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Saint Peter’s University. He holds an Ed.D. in Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University, an M.S. in Criminal Justice from New Jersey City University, and multiple prior degrees from Essex County College and Montclair State University. A retired 25-year veteran of the New Jersey State Police and FBI National Academy graduate, he combines academic expertise with extensive law enforcement experience. He has authored Crossroads: Conflicted Journey of a New Jersey State Trooper and co-authored the Historical Dictionary of American Criminal Justice.
