Alexandra Bivolaru

Alexandra Bivolaru is a Researcher at the Department of Humanities of Ca' Foscari University of Venice. Her work focuses on interdisciplinary studies bridging archaeology, environmental science, and coastal geography.

Her research examines long-term human-environment interactions in coastal lagoons, with a focus on Holocene sea-level changes, paleoenvironmental reconstruction, and climate impacts on historical ecosystems. Collaborative projects include multi-scalar analyses of sedimentological and archaeological data from the Venice Lagoon and Adriatic Sea regions.
