Margherita Ferri

Dr. Margherita Ferri is a Researcher in Medieval Archaeology at the Department of Humanities, Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She also serves as the Department Delegate for External Communication and contributes to the Interuniversity Center for the History and Archaeology of the Early Middle Ages (SAAME).

• Research Focus: Material culture analysis, socio-environmental dynamics, and Venetian lagoon settlements
• Key Projects: Study of the 16th-century Mljet wreck, Comacchio glassworks, San Giacomo in Paludo

Her work synthesizes archaeological data to reveal socioeconomic transformations through ceramics, glassware, and settlement histories. Publications include Glass in the Upper Adriatic between the 5th and 15th Century (2022). She teaches courses on Medieval Archaeology, Post-Medieval Archaeology, and Late Antique Archaeology at the master's level.
