Alex Sinclair

Dr. Alex Sinclair is a Senior Lecturer and Primary Science Lead at St Mary's University, specializing in science education for primary teacher training. He leads the primary science curriculum, organizes modules, and supports student school placements. His doctoral research focused on an ecological approach to science education emphasizing planetary wellbeing. He co-authored Superhero Scientists and the Framework for a Future Primary Science Curriculum, advocating for diverse scientist representation and contemporary curricula.

Research interests include science capital, curriculum development, and integrating historical/modern scientists into education. He serves as a PSQM hub leader, National STEM Learning facilitator, and was ASE co-chair. His work spans textbooks, journal articles, and resources promoting inclusive science education.
