Alessio Levis

Alessio Levis is a Lecturer and PhD student at ETH Zurich, affiliated with the Department of Humanities, Social and Political Sciences. He is part of the International Political Economy and Environmental Politics group at the Center for Comparative and International Studies (CIS). His research focuses on Environmental Politics, Economics, and Mobility Behaviour. He holds a Master's degree in Comparative and International Studies (MACIS) from ETH Zurich and a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of Lucerne. Additionally, he has worked as a Research Assistant under Prof. Dr. Reto Hofstetter and contributed to publications on Swiss environmental policy with Prof. Dr. Lena Schaffer. Outside academia, he has experience as a video journalist at the SRF Newsroom.

His academic journey includes a Bachelor’s at the University of Lucerne (2016–2019) and a Master’s at ETH Zurich (2020–2022). He is currently pursuing his PhD, exploring topics within International Political Economy and Environmental Politics. Professional experience includes roles at the University of Lucerne and contributions to projects like the Swiss Mobility Panel.
