Alec Lytton is a Special Lecturer at the University of Akron's School of Dance, Theatre, and Arts Administration. He teaches ballet and modern dance courses, including Ballet I-VIII and Modern I-II, and also instructs at the University’s Dance Institute and 8 Count Dance in Green. His performance career includes roles with Liss Fain Dance (international touring company member), Menlowe Ballet, Peninsula Ballet, Oakland Ballet, and four seasons as a principal dancer with Company C Contemporary Ballet. He has danced works by renowned choreographers such as Twyla Tharp and Paul Taylor.

- Early training: Houston Ballet Academy and High School for Performing/Visual Arts (Houston)
Lyttong's research and teaching focus on classical ballet techniques, modern dance methodologies, and arts administration within performance education. His performance history spans major companies including the Metropolitan Opera Ballet (2000-2003), where he served as a soloist.
