Alberto Kritzler is a Lecturer in Landscape Architecture at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design (GSD), where he also holds the affiliation with the Department of Landscape Architecture. He is a Mexican developer focused on adaptive reuse, urban density, and living systems, advocating for urban development that positively impacts the environment, society, and local economies.
Education: Kritzler earned a Loeb Fellowship from Harvard GSD and a Master in Business Administration from Stanford University. He currently serves on the boards of a 102-year-old ceramics manufacturer and a certified B-Corp coffee producer.
Research & Ventures: His work centers on regenerative design, including co-founding Reurbano (a platform for adaptive reuse and urban revitalization), founding Reserva el Peñón (a rainforest conservation project with a regenerative community), and leading La Laguna (a co-production hub in a historic textile factory). His projects have been featured in Wallpaper, Monocle, The Architectural Review, and showcased at the Venice Architecture Biennale.
