Dr. Alan Richardson is Associate Dean for Academic Operations in the School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences at the University of Brighton. He is a key figure in academic leadership and research in exercise physiology, with a focus on human responses to environmental extremes such as heat, hypoxia, and critical illness recovery. His work bridges clinical, athletic, and occupational domains.

Alan Richardson's research centers on physiological adaptation to extreme conditions, including hypoxia, heat stress, endurance performance, and rehabilitation following critical illness.
