Aidin McKinney

Aidin McKinney is a Lecturer (Education) at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Queen's University Belfast. He holds NMC registration and has completed postgraduate qualifications including PGCTHCP and a Master's with distinction. His teaching focuses on pathophysiology, pharmacology, and clinical care for adult patients in pre-registration nursing modules, with additional responsibilities in simulation-based learning for interprofessional education.

Research interests include acute care management, medication safety, and innovative teaching strategies. He co-authored an influential case book on nursing acutely ill adults, translated into Arabic, and has contributed to pandemic-related studies on healthcare worker experiences in intensive care units.
