Dr. Ahleah Miles is a College of Social Science Dean's Research Associate in the School of Human Resources and Labor Relations at Michigan State University. She holds a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from The George Washington University (2024), along with an M.A. and B.A. in Psychology from The George Washington University and West Chester University of Pennsylvania, respectively.
Her research focuses on quantitative analyses of technology’s role in the future of work, career decision-making, and nontraditional/precarious work dynamics, emphasizing equity and fairness. Key areas include career assessments, electronic performance monitoring, and postsecondary education’s role in career preparation.
Dr. Miles has published in journals like Personnel Psychology and PLOS ONE, and contributed a chapter to the SIOP Organizational Frontiers Series. She actively participates in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology as a peer reviewer and committee chair.
Her work highlights trends in digital workplace surveillance, socioeconomic disparities in monitoring experiences, and the evolving labor landscape amid technological advancements.
