Adrien Wing is the Associate Dean for International and Comparative Law Programs and the Bessie Dutton Murray Professor of Law at the University of Iowa College of Law, where she has taught since 1987. She also serves as Director of the University of Iowa Center for Human Rights and the France Summer Abroad Program. Her academic work bridges Critical Race Theory, International Law, and Gender Discrimination, with a focus on Africa, the Middle East, and comparative legal systems.
- Education: BA from Princeton University (1978), MA in African Studies from UCLA (1979), JD from Stanford Law School (1982).
Her scholarship spans over 150 publications, including edited works like Critical Race Feminism: A Reader and Global Critical Race Feminism: An International Reader. She has advised on constitutional development in South Africa, Palestine, and Rwanda, and has conducted research in multiple countries across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.
