Adam Cordle is a Lecturer at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), where he teaches viola, coaches chamber music, and instructs in music theory and analysis. He coordinates chamber ensembles at UIC and serves as a faculty member at the Music Institute of Chicago. His roles also include coordinating chamber music programs at the Los Angeles Suzuki Institute and Oregon Suzuki Institute.

His research focuses on musical gesture analysis, particularly in works by Debussy and Saariaho, presented at conferences such as Claude Debussy (2018) and Performance Studies International (2016). He actively promotes diversity through projects like Perspectives Françaises, highlighting music by French women composers.
Cordle performs with Trio Alexander and Duo590, emphasizing gender and racial parity in programming. He directs community initiatives including If Music Be the Food… Chicago and Music for All, and has served on the board of the American Viola Society for a decade.
