Suzanne Bullard serves as Director and Department Chair of the Suzuki School within the University of Northern Iowa's School of Music, where she is a cello instructor using the Suzuki method. She joined the faculty in January 2002 and assumed the directorship in 2015, maintaining a studio of 25-30 students aged 3 through adult while directing the cello choir and teaching group classes.

Bullard specializes in Suzuki-based music education and cello pedagogy, with expertise spanning chamber music performance and string instruction. Her professional focus emphasizes early childhood string education through the Suzuki approach, developed through training with leading practitioners including Catherine Walker and Nancy Hair. As an active performer, she has been a member of the Waterloo Cedar Falls Symphony since 2002 and participates in chamber music series across Iowa and New York as part of the UNI Suzuki Faculty String Quartet.
Prior to her current role, Bullard taught at Wartburg College (2014-2016), maintained private studios in New York and Massachusetts, and instructed for the Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory Preparatory Division. Her career demonstrates sustained commitment to music education through both performance and pedagogical leadership in the Cedar Valley region.
