Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainable Business (Strategy and International Business) and Programme Leader of BA International Business Management at the University of Northampton, affiliated with the Centre for Sustainable Business Practices. His research focuses on social and sustainable entrepreneurship, place attachment, and ethnic minority entrepreneurship. He holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship & Sustainability Strategy from Newcastle University (2025), alongside multiple postgraduate qualifications including an MBA and PGCE.

He actively contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to education and gender equality through his social enterprise 'Mohioshi,' which empowers girls/women in rural Bangladesh, and 'The Travellers' Tree' CIC, addressing mental health for migrants/refugees in Birmingham.
Publications: His research spans entrepreneurship in challenging contexts (e.g., UK ethnic minority restaurant owners during the pandemic), sustainable strategies in developing countries, and masculinity among male entrepreneurs. Themes include innovation under crisis, policy impacts (e.g., China's Zero-COVID), and problem-solving methodologies.
