Sunita Dewitt is an Assistant Professor and Programme Director for the MSc International Entrepreneurship at Coventry University’s International Centre for Transformational Entrepreneurship (ICTE). She holds a Ph.D. in Economic Geography and has extensive experience in teaching and research across entrepreneurship, marketing, and sustainability. Her roles include Ethics Lead, Academic Conduct Officer, and Progress Coach at Coventry University. Externally, she serves as a PhD supervisor for Trinity Saint David and Cardiff University, and as an External Examiner for Roehampton University and London South Bank University.
Her research focuses on transformational entrepreneurship, female entrepreneurship, ethnic entrepreneurship, and sustainability, with projects exploring cross-border business expansions and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Notable collaborations include international partnerships with Narxoz University (Kazakhstan), University of Bremen, and Suranaree University of Technology. Her work bridges academic theory with practical applications, emphasizing gender dynamics and systemic barriers in entrepreneurial contexts.
Dr. Dewitt’s research outputs span entrepreneurship education, gender studies, and sustainability, with a recent focus on net-zero strategies and multi-stakeholder responsibility. She has been recognized with the Best paper award in the Family and Community Business Track at ISBE 2021. Her advisory roles and international projects highlight her commitment to advancing entrepreneurship education and fostering global academic collaboration.
