Dr. Abbie Winton is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Leeds' Centre for Employment Relations, Innovation and Change (CERIC), part of the Faculty of Social Sciences. She holds a PhD in Business & Management from the University of Manchester, where she also completed an MRes and BSc in Management with International Studies. Her research focuses on sociotechnical change in retail, warehousing, and logistics industries, emphasizing job quality and gender dynamics. Current work includes the CHANSE/ESRC-funded HuLog project analyzing digital logistics' impact on European warehousing work, conducted with international partners including Hasselt University and Hertie School.

Her research interests revolve around technological change's societal impacts, particularly gendered labor dynamics and workplace quality. Dr. Winton actively collaborates with stakeholders across government, academia, and industry to bridge theoretical and applied research in logistics and retail sectors.
