Aaron Greer is an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison specializing in film and media production. He works across narrative films, documentaries, and screen dance, focusing on themes of identity formation, expanded definitions of parenthood and family, and American Blackness through Neo-realist aesthetics. His award-winning feature film Service to Man (2017) explores racial integration at Meharry Medical College, while Fruit of the Tree (2007) documents lynching survivor Dr. James Cameron.

Current projects include Morning Moon (feature film), Florence (music documentary), and Shades of War (experimental film). His research examines intersections of race, representation, and cinematic techniques, with a focus on marginalized communities and artistic process.
Greer has received numerous accolades including BEA Best of Competition awards, American Black Film Festival Grand Jury Prize, and Alabama State Council on the Arts Media Fellowship. He also teaches courses in media production, screenwriting, and documentary filmmaking.
