Aaron B. Morton is an Assistant Professor in Kinesiology and Sport Management at Texas A&M University, directing the Soft Tissue Regeneration and Applied Biomaterials (STRAB) Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida (2018) and prior degrees from the University of West Florida and Harding University. His research focuses on skeletal muscle regeneration, neurovascular tissue interactions, and inorganic biomaterials for soft tissue applications, with emphasis on biomaterial development for muscle injuries and dystrophy treatment.
Key research grants include a $495,972 TAMU Advancing Discovery award (2023–2025) and an NIH Loan Repayment Award for Pediatric Research (2020–2022). He has authored patents on biomaterials for stem cell dispersion and muscle treatment methods. Teaching includes KINE427 (Therapeutic Principles) and KINE433 (Exercise Physiology).
Notable awards include the Microcirculatory Society Pappenheimer Postdoctoral Travel Award (2022) and multiple poster awards at physiology conferences. His work bridges biomechanical engineering with clinical applications, emphasizing translational research in regenerative therapies.
