A.J. Bellido de Luna is the Assistant Dean for Advocacy Programs and Hardy Service Professor of Law at St. Mary’s University School of Law. He teaches Trial Advocacy and Arbitration and directs the law school’s Advocacy Program National Team. Previously, he served as Managing Director of the Clinical Law Program at the University of Maryland School of Law and as a Special Prosecutor for Baltimore City.
His research focuses on trial advocacy techniques, arbitration methodologies, and legal education frameworks. He has extensive experience in national trial competitions and legal program administration.
As a former Marine and retired police lieutenant, he brings practical law enforcement insights into academic contexts, particularly in traffic enforcement and child abuse investigation.
