Yuchen Liu

Yuchen Liu is a Lecturer in Double Bass at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and a professional double bassist performing extensively across the San Francisco Bay Area with ensembles including the San Francisco Symphony, Oakland Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, and Stockton Symphony.

• Completed Artist Diploma in Orchestra Studies at Academy Orchestra
• Master of Music (M.M.) at San Francisco Conservatory of Music
• Bachelor in Music Performance at National University of Singapore, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music
• Professional training at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing

As a performer, she has participated in international festivals like Contrabass Kaleidoscope 2013 in Berlin (soloist) and toured globally with major productions. Her teaching focuses on music education through the San Francisco Symphony’s Music and Mentors Program, engaging middle/high school students in public schools.
